Brumleve Industries 14 AWG (American Wire Gauge) was designed specifically for heavy duty applications, with a 600 voltage for all use cases. Features include annealed copper (soft) conductors, compressed strand and is insulated with a tough heat and moisture resistant polyvinyl chloride (PVC).

Like all of our wires designed for dump truck tarp systems, trailer tarp systems and other tarping systems; these wires are oil resistant and fully molded for durability, maximum lifetime and operation in a variety of environments.

Reliable electrical connections support safe and efficient operation of tarp systems in demanding transportation and agricultural environments. Our 14 AWG wire provides the proper ampacity and insulation needed for electric tarp systems, control circuits, and related wiring applications. This versatile conductor delivers consistent performance across a range of conditions where tarp systems operate daily.

Performance Features for Tarp System Applications

  • Proper Ampacity for Motor Circuits: 14 AWG wire handles the current requirements of electric tarp motors and control systems without overheating, making it suitable for most standard tarp system installations on flatbed trailers and dump trucks
  • Flexibility for Routing: Stranded wire options bend easily around tarp mechanisms, through conduit, and along cable trays without breaking, which matters when routing wiring from the cab to the trailer bed or around hydraulic components
  • Weather Resistance: THHN insulation performs reliably in wet locations and outdoor environments where tarp systems operate year-round, from rain-soaked loading docks to dusty agricultural sites
  • Durability Under Movement: Heavy-duty wire insulation withstands the constant vibration and movement of trailer-mounted tarp systems during highway transport, protecting conductors from physical damage over thousands of miles
  • Chemical Protection: Resists exposure to oils, greases, hydraulic fluids, and road chemicals commonly encountered in trucking and agricultural settings
  • Wide Temperature Range: Maintains electrical integrity from cold winter mornings to hot summer afternoons, performing consistently across the temperature extremes your trucks and trailers face

When installing or repairing electric tarp systems, choosing the right wire gauge and insulation type affects both safety and long-term reliability. Our 14 AWG electrical wire meets the demands of commercial tarp system applications, backed by our three decades of experience serving the transportation and agricultural industries.
